Our mission

Our campaign aims to

  • To amplify lived experiences of individuals affected by the COVID-19 pandemic

  • To ensure diverse community voices contribute to scientific and public health discourse

  • To support evidence-based policy and future pandemic preparedness

.

Background

(1) The COVID-19 pandemic affected communities unevenly, and many lived experiences remain underrepresented in scientific literature (2)Understanding public knowledge, attitudes, and practices is essential for improving health communication and crisis response (3)Cross-national data help identify cultural, social, and systemic differences in pandemic response (4)Ethical, community-centered research strengthens trust between the public and health institutions (5)Amplifying real voices supports more inclusive, equitable, and effective public health policies (6)Lessons learned from COVID-19 are critical for preparedness against future global health emergencies

Our goal

(1)To explore personal, social, and health impacts of COVID-19 across different populations (2)To assess knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to COVID-19 in multiple countries (3)To generate ethically conducted, peer-reviewed scientific evidence (4)To advocate for communities through representation in global health research

  • Early findings were presented at the 10th Arab Summit in Michigan

  • Institutional Review Board (IRB) approval was obtained prior to study expansion

  • The research was subsequently developed into a cross-national KAP pilot study

  • Data were collected from participants in India, China, and the United States
