Our mission

Our campaign aims to (1) provide accessible and accurate information on COVID-19 & Long COVID through educational interventions and (2) evaluate the current knowledge and awareness of COVID in MENA during this “post-pandemic” era.

Background

Political turmoil and war in the MENA region allows for easier spread of infectious diseases. Factors such as vaccine hesitancy, lack of data disaggregation, and minimal COVID-related studies in the MENA region place these individuals at greater risk of worse health outcomes from the diseases.

Our goal

To (1) empower the youth to educate and spread awareness of the illnesses to their own communities via social media and other routes and (2) identify themes regarding COVID experiences in MENA.
